Day 1, Year 2 of 30 Days of Creativity (aka 30DOC)! Happy Birthday to Rem! We’ve got a special birthday outing planned so I wanted something that was relatively quick and easy. Using Washi Tape to make little pennants spelling out Happy Birthday fit the bill. It is similar to a card I made last year but easier and it is reminiscent of the birthday pennants I made for Day 1 last year.
Card stock, washi tape, baker’s twine, adhesive, Sharpie marker, paper trimmer and scissors.
Tear off some washi tape and stick it on a paper trimmer (or other surface so you can write on it with a Sharpie without worrying about it bleeding through or getting too stuck).
Write the letters you will use for the greeting on the card, in this case HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Cut out little triangles with the letters on them. Use Baker’s Twine and adhesive for the line to hold the pennants. Stick the triangles down on the paper with the top edge just over the twine. Complete layers of card. Sign, with love and good wishes, present to your birthday recipient. Ta da!
Thanks for checking out Day 1 of 30 Days of Creativity!
